Just another day…

I know I said I am cutting out sweets, but I didn’t want to miss out on my birthday cake. I had two pieces yesterday and a piece this morning and I think I am going to call it quits. It was a large cake, so there is a lot left-over, but I don’t plan on being the one to finish it up, lol.

One of my nieces may be coming over today, if her dad ever gets home from whatever drunken’ bender he is on now. :whatevah: I was thinking about doing some more cleaning. I did a bit a couple of days ago, but I think I am going to have to do a big overhaul of things. I have junk that is broken or doesn’t get used and it just takes up much needed space. So, either I will do it later today or wait until Monday when I will have one of my sisters help me move the heavy stuff.

Celebrating together…

My moms birthday was yesterday and my birthday is this Sunday (Father’s day), and my youngest sister has to go to her dads for Fathers day, so we decided to celebrate my mother and I’s birthday today. It was very nice. We had a quiet celebration with gifts, cake and ice cream and for dinner we had large homemade burritos which we all love.

Cat operation…

About ten minutes ago my mom left with her cat (which I don’t really like) to take her to the vet and get her spayed. (It should have been done a long time ago, but she was an inside cat and my mother didn’t think she needed to be fixed.) Anyways, my mom and sister had spent about 15 minutes trying to get her into the cat crate (I heard screaming and yelling) when they decided to come and get me to put her in. I didn’t really want to do it since they both were all scratched up and my sister was yelling about how she was pissed that she couldn’t wear a skirt for her date tonight.

So how much trouble did I have. It took me like 10 seconds to get her in.  I got her from the corner from where she was hissing and held on to her back legs and fronts legs and put her right in. My mom and sister just looked at me and asked how’d I do that. Heh. To be fair though, the cat does have claws like xacto knives and she did do a number on them, but I thought it was kind of funny that I had no trouble whatsoever getting her in her crate when me and her don’t really even like each other.

More dieting stuff…

Well, for the past couple days I’ve been having a hard time avoiding eating bad snacks and it hasn’t been going so well. However, I got some wonderful advice from Nancy (thank you!) in one of my comments about having snacks that would be good for me. I admit I am someone who enjoys having something to snack on and going cold-turkey isn’t working out for me.

So, I went to the grocery store and bought some healthy snacks to have around the house which will help out tremendously. I bought baby carrots, celery, raisins, strawberries & some cucumbers that I will cut up and put in some Tupperware. I hope this will help with the cravings that I am constantly having.
